About Us

CREDOS Institute is a research, knowledge management, and transformation entity, established in 2016. It is dedicated for the design of knowledge based creative development strategies to improve the understanding on complexity of hardcore poverty including caste, religion, ethnic, racial, age and gender based discrimination in political sphere and labor market in Indonesia. We manage the knowledge to upskill communities, NGOs, market and government for an efficient achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs).

We work to produce knowledge based on generated evidence for promoting transformation towards a better future for the current disadvantaged population. Our three key principles are: Equality – every one should have equal opportunity for a respectable quality of life; Inclusion – nobody should be left behind, and all voices matters; Sustainability – we believe in sustained development towards a better future

To do so, CREDOS Institute combines passion for pro-poor development with multidisciplinary approaches. We conduct research on poverty, health and wellbeing, life-course approach, and gender, caste and slavery. Our experts come from rich diverse background such as economy, social science, public health, psychology, and anthropology.

CREDOS Institute is managed by Yayasan Kajian Strategi Pembangunan Kreatif CREDOS. The Institute is based in Jakarta, with regional offices in West Timor and Papua. We plan to expand the research networks and our work to many different islands in Indonesia.
